ED - Emergency Room

RN - ED ER

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour day shifts from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
• Floating to other units is required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Work in a 64-bed Emergency Department including 2 triage beds, 40 acute beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psych beds
• Treat patients across all age groups including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Experience required with specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Experience required with required drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido), sedation (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required with some pediatric experience
• Travel nursing experience required
• EMR experience required: EPIC
• Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Active New York nursing license required with NURSYS verification
