ICU RN Job in Glendale, AZ

Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit. This is an 89-week travel assignment with a start date of August 17, 2026.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour day shifts
• Weekly pay: $2,446.20
• Weekend and holiday rotation requirements
• Possible call and float responsibilities to support other units

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for ICU patients
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on assessment data and patient-specific needs
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Document all care in patient records in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current Arizona RN license or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience in the specialty area
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a direct patient care environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification in critical care nursing
