Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Watertown, NY

You'll work as a Certified Surgical Technologist at Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, New York. This is a 13-week travel assignment running from August 3, 2026, with 5x8 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. You'll earn $2,036.70 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Creating and maintaining a sterile surgical environment
• Ensuring surgical equipment functions properly and safely
• Performing scrub duties with precise, efficient reactions to all situations
• Assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, including orthopedic cases and DaVinci procedures
• Preparing surgical patients and assisting with nursing care under RN supervision
• Managing cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of equipment and instrumentation
• Performing departmental duties as assigned
• Potentially precepting new staff members

Requirements:

• Current Certified Surgical Technologist credential
• Orthopedic surgical experience
• Scrubbing experience
• DaVinci robotic surgery experience
• Travel healthcare experience
• BLS certification
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred, or current New York State LPN license eligibility
• Must arrive within 30 minutes of being called in
• Weekends, call, and holidays required

You'll function under the direct supervision of an RN and work in a fast-paced operating room setting. Knowledge of equipment sterilization protocols and surgical procedures is essential for this role.
