Med Surg RN Job in Atlanta, GA

Join Grady Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse on our high-acuity Medical/Surgical floor. You will care for surgical patients, trauma cases, and patients with complex conditions including gunshot wounds and spinal cord injuries. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in a fast-paced surgical environment with strong team support.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical nursing with trauma focus
• Shift: 3x12 nights per week
• Duration: 54 weeks
• Start date: June 15, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,764.44

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical and trauma patients
• Manage a patient ratio of 5:1
• Participate in complete nurse handoff with ED nurses for patient admissions
• Work assigned shifts (no block scheduling available)
• Collaborate with nursing support technicians and unit support staff

Unit Resources:

• Nursing support technicians available on unit
• Phlebotomist support provided
• Unit secretary available during night shifts

Requirements:

• RN licensure
• Minimum 2 years experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• EPIC electronic health record experience required
• Willingness to orient fully to unit protocols and team
