Occupational Therapist Job in Independence, MO

Join Centerpoint Medical Center MO as a Travel Occupational Therapist for a 12-week assignment beginning June 29, 2026. You will work on a 16-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit within a 285-bed Level 2 Trauma Center, providing direct patient care in a dynamic acute care and rehabilitation setting.

Position Details

• Schedule: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 5 days per week (8-hour shifts)
• Duration: 84 days
• Weekend rotation: 1 weekend every 6 weeks with flex days off during the week
• No on-call requirements

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and treatments
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility-related therapies
• Work with rehab gym equipment and standard rehabilitation supplies
• Document in Meditech EMR system
• Manage patient ratios of 12:1 in acute care and 4–5:1 in rehabilitation

Qualifications

• Valid occupational therapy license
• Acute care and/or rehabilitation experience preferred

You will be part of a trauma center team delivering evidence-based occupational therapy across both acute and rehabilitation patient populations. The inpatient rehabilitation unit provides comprehensive therapy services, and you will have access to full gym facilities and clinical resources. Required scrub color is eggplant.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,212
