Job Details:

• No on-call responsibilities
• No weekend shifts required
• Missouri state license required
• Minimum 1 year of OTA experience required
• Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
• COTA license required
• Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with cognitive and/or physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments accordingly
• Report effectiveness of treatment outcomes to supervising Occupational Therapist
• Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to cognitive and/or physical disorders
• Effectively communicate with supervisor and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans
• Provide input to supervisor for discharge summary of services per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policy
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per all regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Participate in facility and company required trainings, in-services, and conferences
• Work with supervising Occupational Therapist to obtain any necessary DME or supplies per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
• Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist
• Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice
