Occupational Therapist Job in Mound City, MO

You will work as an Occupational Therapist in a long-term care setting, providing skilled rehabilitative services to patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders. This is a day shift position with no on-call or weekend requirements.

Your responsibilities include:

• Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop appropriate plans of care
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions
• Provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions per regulatory and clinical practice requirements
• Administer various procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and adjust treatments accordingly in the clinical record
• Evaluate treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modify services in relation to patient evaluation
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans
• Provide comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records according to company policy
• Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in required meetings including patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students

Requirements: Active Missouri OT license, minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience, and long-term care or rehabilitation experience required. You must adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice.

Assignment Details: 91 days, 5x8 days, starting August 3, 2026. Weekly pay: $2,631.
