About this role

Tide Health Group – Georgian Gardens is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a long-term care setting in Potosi, MO. This is a 91-day assignment with day shifts only—no weekends, no on-call responsibilities.

Role Overview

You will provide rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Your work will focus on evidence-based practice and patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer therapeutic interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of supportive and assistive devices
  • Assess patient progress and communicate with your supervising Occupational Therapist to adjust treatments as needed
  • Report on treatment effectiveness and outcomes to your supervisor
  • Provide consultation to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding cognitive and physical disorders
  • Document all required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain patient records per company policy
  • Accurately record treatment minutes for services provided according to regulatory and clinical requirements
  • Communicate effectively with your supervisor and health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
  • Supervise and support students under the guidance of the Occupational Therapist
  • Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state-required practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics during professional practice

Requirements

  • Current Missouri state license
  • COTA certification
  • Minimum 1 year of OTA experience
  • Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
