CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is hiring a CT Technologist for weekend overnight shifts. You'll work Friday through Sunday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST on a 12-hour schedule. This is a 131-day travel assignment starting August 31, 2026, with weekly pay of $3,217.50.

Your Responsibilities:

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification before initiating scans
• Prepare patients for CT procedures and explain exam protocols to ensure comfort
• Insert IVs when necessary for contrast studies
• Position patients appropriately, including safe patient handling techniques for those with limited mobility
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging support
• Document all required components in EPIC and maintain accurate patient records
• Identify images and ensure proper transmission to PACS upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility environment
• Cover 2–3 on-call shifts per month as needed
• Provide holiday coverage per unit needs

Required Qualifications:

• NYS licensure with injection therapy certification on license at submission
• Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Minimum two years of experience, with Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Telemetry certification
• Minimum 6 months Siemens scanner experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment
• One year of Epic experience
