Med Surg RN Job in Gainesville, FL

You will work as an RN on a 30-bed Orthopedics/Spine Med-Surg unit at HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, FL. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 30, 2026.

Shift and Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• Rotating weekend schedule required
• Self-scheduling available prior to schedule posting

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 7:1
• All private-room unit
• Unit support includes 1 unit secretary and 3 patient care technicians
• Travelers float first, though floating does not happen often

Clinical Environment

• Experienced orthopedic staff and engaged unit leadership
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Equipment includes lift equipment, bladder scanners, ultrasound IV machine, and mobile vital sign carts
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification required

Compensation

• Weekly pay: $1,791
