Pharmacist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Pharmacist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest – UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, starting October 26, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week on a rotating schedule that includes night shift rotation (7 days on, 7 days off) and every 4th weekend. Your weekly pay is $5,111.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and evaluate physician orders and prescriptions to prepare, calculate, and dispense appropriate medication dosage forms for inpatient and outpatient treatment
• Identify and report suspected adverse drug reactions accurately and promptly
• Review, maintain, and screen patient medication records and profiles for allergies, drug interactions, and therapeutic duplications
• Communicate with physicians and nurses to clarify orders that are unclear, illegible, or incomplete
• Prepare and dispense intravenous admixture solutions using aseptic technique in an accepted sterile product preparation area
• Provide drug information and educational programs to healthcare professionals and pharmacy students
• Serve as preceptor for pharmacy students and pharmacy residents
• Organize daily operational duties and assist in supervising pharmacy technicians, pharmacy aides, student interns, and ancillary personnel
• Utilize all available computer systems and technologies in the provision of pharmaceutical care

Requirements

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
• B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Current licensure as a Pharmacist in practicing state
• Required clearances: Pharmacist License, PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
