Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

You'll work as an RN on a 20-bed neurological medical/surgical unit at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. This is a 91-day travel contract starting May 25, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Two weekends (four shifts) per 4-week schedule
• Weekly pay: $1,918.44

Your Role

You'll manage a patient ratio of 6:1, providing direct patient care on a unit with tech support available on both day and night shifts. A unit secretary covers 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You'll work with IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse oximetry, feeding pumps, PCA pumps, EKG machines, bladder scanners, and iMobile communication technology. Documentation uses Meditech.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Medical/surgical nursing with strong prioritization and multitasking
• IV starts, basic wound care, and maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
• Bedside shift reports and patient/family engagement in care planning
• Attentive and compassionate care delivery

Important Notes

• Contract staff are first to float based on rotation when multiple contract workers are scheduled
• Navy scrubs required (tops and bottoms)
• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Medical/surgical experience required
