Emergency Department RN Job in Rockport, ME

Pen Bay Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for a travel position in the Emergency Department. This is a day shift role offering stability and predictable scheduling for an experienced ED nurse ready to make an impact in a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Duration: 91 days, starting November 29, 2026
• Every other weekend and holiday requirement
• No call or float responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,444.04

Clinical Environment

• Patient ratios of 4:1 to 5:1
• Standard emergency care equipment
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• 29-bed department including 3 behavioral health unit beds (locked space) and 3 medical/psych swing beds
• Team-oriented environment requiring flexibility, excellent communication, and strong documentation skills
• Department is currently under construction—flexibility with workflow changes is essential

Requirements

• RN license
• 2 to 5 years of Emergency Department or Critical Care experience
• Minimum 1 year travel nursing experience
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS
• Completion of required education modules through the facility's education department
• Professional attire; any solid color scrubs acceptable
