PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shift schedule with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Patient ratio of 1:4-5 patients on night shift
• Float to Oconomowoc Memorial and/or Mukwonago locations if needed based on census
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Minimum 1 year of cardiac experience required; 2+ years medical-surgical experience preferred
• At least 1 completed travel contract preferred
• Experience must be in a short-term acute care hospital setting
• ICU nurses comfortable with 1:4-5 patient ratios will be considered
• Must be comfortable with rhythm interpretation and routine cardiac care for patient populations including open heart surgical, arrhythmia, chest pain, cardiac procedural, heart failure, and acute MI patients
• Unit sees a variety of patients including sepsis, respiratory failure, stroke, and medical overflow in addition to cardiac patients
• Current Epic charting experience within the last 12 months required
• Required certifications: WI or Compact RN license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
