PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 13-week assignment with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour day/night variable shifts from 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, including IMC and CTU units
• Contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours, which can be taken in hour increments - unit will typically low census in 4-hour increments
• 8-bed observation unit with a patient ratio of 1:4
• Care for patients with conditions including anemia, cellulitis, COPD, dehydration, pre and post-op urology and GI cases, with drips including Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, and Heparin
• High volume of admissions and discharges with average patient stay up to 48 hours
• Ability to read and interpret EKG strips is required - EKG exam will be administered during compliance
• Background in observation units or MS/Tele units preferred
• Minimum 3 years of experience required with at least 1 prior travel assignment required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC); NIHSS highly preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Any color scrubs permitted
