Opportunity:

PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant Rehab

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday shift from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Guaranteed hours based on hours signed
• Home health experience preferred; all PTA experience will be considered
• 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred
• Patient ratio of 6 patients per day with an average daily census of 6
• Treat patients across adult and geriatric age groups
• Work with patient diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, wounds, CHF, diabetes, generalized weakness, cardiac, renal, and geriatric conditions
• Utilize skills in acute care, outpatient clinic, rehabilitation, and skilled nursing facility settings
• Perform therapy using equipment such as crutches, gait belts, rolling walkers, standard walkers, shoulder slings, and upper and lower extremity prosthetics
• Treat conditions including total hip and knee replacements, post-op shoulder and spinal surgeries, post-stroke rehabilitation, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, and cognitive disorders
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, interpretation services, social services, pharmacy, and transportation
• Charting system experience required; any charting system accepted; recent EPIC experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certification: BLS
• South Carolina PTA license required prior to start; pending license accepted
• All requested time off must be included on initial submission; RTO requested after the fact will not be considered
• Attendance policy in effect: missing more than two shifts per 13-week contract without reasonable explanation may result in contract cancellation
