Job Details:

• Varied work schedule with every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation
• May float to support additional facility location as needed
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care
• Delegate and supervise activities of health care team members including licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support education, role development, and orientation of staff
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and meet physical demands including standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching frequently
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting required with experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Current, valid RN license required
• Colorado CAPS required
• Telemetry verification required upon arrival to facility
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
