ED RN Job in Grand Junction, CO

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado is seeking an RN for the Emergency Room. This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule including both nights and days. The assignment runs for 91 days, beginning July 27, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,403.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient and family-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, and evidence-based care
• Communicate and advocate for patient values, preferences, and expressed needs as part of care plan implementation and evaluation
• Apply communication practices that minimize risks across transitions of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in shared decision-making
• Integrate best current evidence with clinical expertise and patient and family preferences for optimal health care delivery
• Participate in quality improvement activities including Root Cause Analyses, Apparent Cause Analyses, and Interdisciplinary Meetings
• Utilize outcome data at the patient level to guide care decisions
• Communicate observations or concerns related to unsafe situations posing risk to patients, families, or the healthcare team
• Navigate and document in the EMR to support patient care and clinical decision-making
• Participate in shared governance activities and professional development opportunities
• Support precepting and education of orientees, peers, and students

Requirements:

• Active RN license
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association with at least 3 months remaining before expiration
