Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You'll work as an RN on a 30-bed orthopedic Med Surg unit at Mercy Hospital South in Saint Louis, providing direct patient care across all age groups. This is a 13-week night shift assignment running 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients post-trauma, post-surgical intervention, and those with medical comorbidities
• Managing a patient ratio of 1:6 on the unit
• Floating to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• Coordinating patient care activities with ancillary departments
• Documenting care in the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Providing physical support including standing, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance

Schedule and compensation:

• Night shifts with weekend schedule as required by facility (every other weekend)
• No call requirements
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (to be indicated on submission form)
• Weekly pay: $1,971

Requirements:

• Current RN license (Missouri or eligible for Missouri licensure)
• BLS from AHA required; ACLS from AHA preferred
• Minimum 2 years of orthopedic inpatient experience
• Night shift orientation conducted during day shift—you must be available for the entire first week
• Black scrubs required as dress code
