About this role
You will work as a Physical Therapist at Maristhill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Waltham, MA. This is a day shift position on a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 31, 2026. You will earn $2,920 per week.
In this role, you will evaluate residents and establish therapeutic plans of care that include functional long- and short-term goals, service frequency and duration, and appropriate therapeutic modalities. You will perform evaluative and therapeutic procedures under physician or accepted healthcare provider orders, monitor treatment effects, and adjust programs toward established functional goals. All interactions must be documented in the Electronic Medical Record per department procedures.
Your responsibilities include:
- Recommending and obtaining assistive devices and instructing residents in their use
- Providing education to residents and caregivers regarding therapeutic activities
- Collaborating with Physical Therapist Assistants and other therapy professionals to ensure quality care
- Supervising assistant-level staff in accordance with state mandates and professional standards
- Delivering in-service education to nursing and other departments on clinical knowledge and skills
- Maintaining required licenses, certifications, and competencies
Qualifications: You must hold a Bachelor's degree at minimum; a Master's or Doctorate is preferred. An active Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; items over 50 pounds require a two-person lift. Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is preferred. Skilled nursing facility experience is required for this position.
