RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts with every other weekend required
• 13-week contract with possibility of extension
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 2+ years of experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required
• Charting system experience required using Cerner EMR
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Skills required include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care and management, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), nasal cannula and oxygen administration, oral suctioning, PCA management, peripheral line care, phlebotomy, PICC line management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, and pharmacy
