Job Details:

• Varied work schedule with weekend and holiday requirements per facility guidelines
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Review patient history and physical assessments, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs, assessment data, and medical plan of care
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise health care team activities to implement patient care plans
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans of care as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in patient records
• Provide care based on best available evidence and participate in shared leadership and quality improvement initiatives
• Precept and mentor facility personnel, patients, students, families, and visitors as appropriate
• Interact with multidisciplinary team members, physicians, patients, families, and external health care contacts
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently with the ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Current, valid RN license required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required, with experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
