RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience required
• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards
• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting
• Perform patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs for patients with complex conditions
• Develop and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients and families
• Perform bedside point of care testing as required by patient care plan
• Utilize nursing standards, policies, and procedures in delivery of care
• Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs
• Consult with appropriate resources for patients with complex care issues or high-risk discharge planning needs
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate and promote continuity of patient care
• Communicate relevant patient information effectively using available communication systems
• Participate in unit goal development and performance improvement activities
• Identify and address cultural and ethnic considerations in patient care planning
• Attend education programs based on identified learning needs
• Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment for all patients and staff
