Med Surg RN Job in Fort Worth, TX

You will work as an RN on an Ortho Neuro Med Surg unit located on the 3rd floor of Tower B at Medical City Fort Worth. This 30-bed unit serves patients requiring orthopedic and spine care, with a patient ratio of 1:5.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform and assist with procedures including total knees, total hip, laminectomy, ORIF, ACDF, VP shunt revision, and fusions
• Work with spine and orthopedic braces equipment
• Collaborate with charge nurses, RNs, CNAs, and sitters as part of the care team
• Document and manage patient care using the Meditech EMR system

Shift and scheduling:

• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3 days per week (3x12)
• Four weekends required in a 4-week period
• Night shift staffing is census-dependent

Required qualifications:

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• Meditech EMR experience required

Preferred qualifications:

• Spine and/or orthopedic background
• Relevant certification
