RN - OR

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
• 13-week assignment
• Minimum of 3 years of experience required - no exceptions
• Must be proficient in Orthopedics (total joints), General Surgery, and OB/C-Sections
• Serve as OR RN Circulator
• Weekend call required every 5th or 6th weekend and one day during the week
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Must be proficient with special procedures and equipment including Orthopedics, GYN, Podiatry, General Surgery, Endoscopy, and Labor and Delivery C-Sections
• Required skills include: thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and more
• Must follow fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, infection control, and universal protocol procedures
• Experience with cell saver and administration of blood and blood products required
• Charting system experience required
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 1:1
• Facility utilizes a Hana Table
• Special procedures include C-sections, EGD, colonoscopy, bronchoscopy, and hip fractures
• Treats patients of all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• 1 reference required
• Travelers may float to different units
