PCU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Desert Medical Center is seeking an RN for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Mesa, Arizona. This is a travel nursing position offering three 12-hour night shifts per week, with an 89-day contract starting August 24, 2026. You will earn $2,631 weekly.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in our PCU, where you'll assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulating and implementing individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members, including discharge planning
• Delegating and supervising activities of licensed nurses and healthcare personnel
• Evaluating patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Documenting all assessments, interventions, and responses in a timely and legible manner
• Participating in shared leadership, staff education, precepting, and mentoring activities

What We Need From You

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience, with specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and meet physical demands of a direct patient care environment

Your schedule will include varied shifts with weekends, holidays, and float assignments per department guidelines. You'll work nights and be part of a committed team at Banner Desert Medical Center (1400 S Dobson Rd).
