RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Working as an EP Lab RN performing electrophysiology procedures
• No weekends, holidays, or on-call required
• Patient ratio of 5 patients on days
• Serves adult and geriatric patient populations
• 40 orientation hours required
• Must be able to scrub and/or use Micropace monitoring system for ablations
• Mandatory competency with phlebotomy and placing IVs required
• Candidates will be required to float
• Block scheduling will be accommodated when possible but not guaranteed
• Maximum of 1 week of requested time off per contract
• No local candidates within 75 miles of facility accepted
• New York nursing license required in hand prior to submission
• 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required skills include: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, Baseline Measurements, Cardiac Ablation, Cardiac Mapping, Cardioversion, Conduction Studies, Insertion/Programming of AICDs, Pacemaker Insertion, Scrub Procedures, Antihypertensives, Emergency Medications, IV Vasopressors, Thrombolytics, Blood Product Administration, Implanted Ports Care and Maintenance, Activated Clotting Time (ACT), Circulate Procedures, Interpretation/Management of Dysrhythmias, Sheath Removal and Monitoring, Topical Hemostasis, and Vascular Closure Systems
