Med Surg RN Job in Charleston, SC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical position at MUSC Health Charleston. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will work 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM in a General Neurology, Medical Stroke, and Epilepsy Monitoring setting. You'll care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular diseases, seizures, and medically managed strokes. You may also support overflow care for neurosurgical and spine surgery patients as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5
• Perform continuous epilepsy monitoring using hard-wired room equipment
• Provide CVA management and peripheral line care
• Perform non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
• Deliver pre- and post-neurosurgery care
• Implement isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Support rapid response and code teams as needed
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units and sister facilities
• Work 4–5 weekend shifts per 4-week period with holiday rotation

Requirements

• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN license
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Electronic health record charting system experience required
