Med Surg RN Job in Florence, SC

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 10-week Med Surg assignment at MUSC Health - Florence. You'll work 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with patient ratios of 1:6–7 on a medical-surgical unit caring for adult and geriatric patients.

Assignment Details

• 10-week duration starting November 9, 2026
• 4x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• On-call PRN basis for low census
• Float to med-surg units as needed
• Facility may call off approximately 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Weekly pay: $2,162
• Free parking available

Requirements

• Current SC state license or Compact license in hand prior to start
• BLS certification required
• ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted

Clinical Skills

You'll manage patients with diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, coronary artery disease, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status. Required competencies include med-surg and telemetry nursing, insulin administration, rapid response protocols, blood product administration, central line blood draws, heparin management, PICC line care, and wound care including wound vacs. All telemetry-monitored patients are managed by monitor techs in a central location.

Support & Resources

You'll have access to interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation. Telemedicine equipment is used; instruction will be provided. Scrub color is Royal Blue.
