Med Surg RN Job in Camden, SC

You will work as a registered nurse on a 54-bed medical-surgical unit at MUSC Health Kershaw Medical Center in Camden, South Carolina. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required as needed
• No on-call requirement
• $1,798 weekly pay
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Role Details

• Patient ratio: 1:6
• Daily census: approximately 24 patients
• Adult and geriatric patient populations
• General medical and surgical diagnoses, including COVID-positive patients
• Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units or sister facilities may be required

Requirements

• RN license: South Carolina or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• 2+ years of Med/Surg experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• IV start skills required
• Telemetry and cardiac drip management experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

During hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams, with peak activity in August and September. Please be aware of this possibility when considering your assignment dates.
