Med Surg RN Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg position at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. This is a travel nursing opportunity with a duration of 91 days, starting August 17, 2026.

Position Details

• Two positions available
• 3x12 schedule, day shift (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
• Full-time work schedule
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1 depending on staffing
• Weekends may be required based on scheduling needs
• No on-call requirements
• Floating to other units is a potential requirement

Clinical Focus

The unit specializes in post-surgical care across orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro populations. You will provide routine and complex nursing care, administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects, and document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care delivered. You will assess and address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families, provide patient and family education, and make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed.

Requirements

• RN license in state of employment or compact required
• BLS certification required
• 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• EPIC experience is a bonus

Compensation & Benefits

Weekly pay: $2,312.64
