Operating Room RN Job in St Petersburg, FL

Join HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital as a travel Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. This 91-day assignment begins August 25, 2026, and offers competitive weekly pay of $2,102.40.

Position Overview

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week (6:30 AM–7:00 PM) with a variable call schedule. The role includes every other weekend and holiday rotations in alignment with hospital staff. You will maintain a 1:1 patient ratio in a 7-OR suite alongside a team of 30 professionals, including Certified Surgical Technologists, RNs, surgical aides, and leadership.

Clinical Requirements

You must bring hands-on experience in the following surgical specialties:

• Gynecology
• Urology
• General Surgery
• Robotics
• Orthopedics

Candidates without proficiency in all five areas will not be considered. Preferred experience includes robotics-assisted procedures for gynecology, urology, and general cases.

Procedures and Equipment

You will perform a range of procedures, including cystoscopy, breast procedures, knee arthroscopy, and total joint replacements. Work with diverse surgical equipment based on specialty needs. The facility uses Meditech as its electronic medical record system.

Work Environment

This is a dynamic OR setting requiring flexibility and strong teamwork. Surgical staff wear Ciel Blue scrubs. You will adapt to multiple surgical specialties and collaborate closely with your surgical team each shift.
