Med Surg RN Job in Mason City, IA

You will provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse on a Medical Surgical unit at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning August 16, 2026, working three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,186 weekly.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitoring and documenting patient conditions and reporting changes to appropriate medical staff
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Maintaining accurate and thorough patient records and documentation
• Educating patients and families on health conditions, treatments, and discharge planning

You will work nights on a unit that serves patients across a range of medical and surgical diagnoses. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple patients simultaneously are essential. You will be part of a healthcare team committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.

This position requires a valid RN license. You will be expected to uphold professional standards and collaborate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other clinicians to support patient safety and quality outcomes.
