RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work in 16-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit with patient ratios of 1:2, or 1:1 for certain device patients
• Required to work 2 weekends per month
• Must work 1 summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day) and 2 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day)
• Float as needed to other ICUs or floors when required
• Dress code requires black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs with scrub jackets/vests only
• Work with Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Support from free floating charge nurse, unit secretary, and Administrative Care Tech Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-3:30 PM
• Student Nurse Externs available on variable shifts to assist with tech duties
• Provide care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients including ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS
• Perform central line insertion, swan insertion, and intubations on unit
• Must have strong critical care experience including CVICU experience
• Advanced skills required: PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring, preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
