Telemetry RN Job in Overland Park, Kansas

Join Menorah Medical Center as a Telemetry RN in our 28-bed Cardiovascular Care Unit. You'll care for acute cardiac patients, including those recovering from cath lab procedures such as ablations, PFO closures, stents, and pacemaker placements, as well as stroke patients and PCU overflow cases.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12 nights (7 PM–7 AM)
• Work 3 shifts per week with every third weekend required
• 48 hours guaranteed per week preferred

Your Role

• Manage a patient ratio of 4–5:1
• Perform basic medical telemetry procedures
• Float to like units including Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, and Rehab as needed
• Operate EKG, bladder scanner, sit-to-stand equipment, Hoyer lift, hover mat, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis
• Document in Meditech EBCD system with strong compliance focus on central lines, Foleys, C. difficile, and other health-care-associated infections
• Participate in Nurse Leader Rounds on every patient daily
• Maintain whiteboards, room cleanliness, and safety and quality standards

Requirements

• RN license
• ACLS, BLS, Basic Dysrhythmia, and NIH stroke certification
• Cardiac experience is a plus

Dress Code

Royal blue scrub tops with royal blue or black pants. Undershirts must be grey, white, black, or royal blue.
