Telemetry RN Job in Overland Park, Kansas

You are a registered nurse with ACLS, BLS, and Basic Dysrhythmia certifications, ready to join a 25-bed Medical Telemetry unit at Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas. This is a travel position offering $2,610 weekly pay for a 91-day assignment beginning December 14, 2026.

Your Role

You will work 4 x 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) on a unit serving renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general medical-surgical patients. Your patient ratio is 4–5:1. You will be expected to float to like units including Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, and Rehab as needed.

Daily Responsibilities

• Monitor patients using telemetry and EKG equipment
• Perform basic medical-surgical procedures and patient care
• Operate equipment including bladder scanners, sit-to-stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris infusion pumps, and Pyxis dispensing systems
• Document all care in the Meditech EBCD electronic health record system
• Participate in Nurse Leader Rounds on every patient daily, including pre-rounds and post-rounds
• Monitor whiteboards, room tidiness, and safety and quality measures
• Focus on compliance and prevention of central line infections, Foley catheter complications, C. difficile infections, and other hospital-acquired infections

Schedule and Requirements

You will work at least 48 hours guaranteed per week across 3 shifts weekly, with every third weekend required. Dress code is royal blue scrub tops paired with royal blue or black pants, plus a grey, white, black, or royal blue undershirt.
