Med Surg RN Job in Albany, GA

Opportunity:

RN - Acute Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Holiday coverage as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• 44-bed acute care unit with 40 staff members
• Must have 2 years of nursing experience and at least 1 travel assignment completed
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS (AHA)
• Scrub color requirement: Caribbean Blue
• MEDITECH EMR system (experience preferred but not required)
• Telemetry patients monitored on different unit
• Floating required to all acute care units and cardio for medical patients, or EC for acute care patient holds
• General orientation: 1 week including EMR training
• Floor-specific orientation: 2 days
• Must live within 75-mile radius of hospital address on driver's license
• CNA support available with 1:8 to 1:10 ratios
• 12-hour cancellation policy every 2 weeks
