Med Surg RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the medical-surgical unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 6-month travel assignment on a 3x12 day shift schedule, with every other holiday and every other weekend off.

Your responsibilities include:

• Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changes in patient status
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by providers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on medical conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions to support recovery and compliance

What we're looking for:

You hold an active RN license and have medical-surgical nursing experience. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating effectively with patients and team members, and adapting to facility protocols and workflows.

• Shift: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Weekly pay: $2,231
