CVOR RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR) at Banner Estrella Medical Center, located at 9201 W Thomas Rd in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a 89-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, with a 4x10 days schedule and weekly pay of $2,698.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards
• Assist physicians with advanced tasks and equipment during surgical procedures, including cardiopulmonary bypass and heart-lung machine operation, trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, cardiac output assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions
• Perform and interpret various cardiac and vascular laboratory tests
• Review patient history, physical findings, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in unit or facility shared leadership and support education, role development, and orientation of personnel

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona required
• Minimum of one year RN experience required; acute care experience within the past 12 months required
• One year of operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently with ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions required due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Availability for 24/7 weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts; on-call required
