CVOR RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You'll work as an RN in the Cardiothoracic Operating Room at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ. This is a pediatric CVOR position that requires strong experience in pediatric cardiac, neuro, ortho, general, and Level 1 trauma cases.

Schedule & Pay

• Shift: 6:40 AM to 5:10 PM, four 10-hour days per week
• Weekly pay: $2,698
• Assignment duration: 89 days
• Start date: August 31, 2026
• Schedule includes weekends, holidays, call, and float per department guidelines

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with professional nursing practice standards
• Assist physicians with advanced surgical tasks and equipment, including cardiopulmonary bypass, trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, cardiac output assistive devices, and vascular access interventions
• Perform and interpret cardiac and vascular lab tests
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data; report abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team
• Delegate and supervise care activities performed by licensed nurses and other personnel
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year RN experience
• Pediatric open-heart surgical experience required
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Standard precautions compliance due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
