Job Details:

• Shift hours are 6:40 AM to 5:10 PM
• Varied work schedule including weekends, holidays, call, and float per department guidelines
• Pediatric CVOR RN position requiring pediatric open-heart experience
• Strong experience required in Pediatric Cardiac, Neuro, Ortho, General, and Level 1 Trauma
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with professional nursing practice standards
• Assist physicians with advanced tasks and equipment during surgical procedures including cardiopulmonary bypass/heart-lung machine use, trans-esophageal echocardiogram studies, cardiac output assistive devices, and vascular access and interventions
• Perform and interpret various cardiac and vascular lab tests
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise care activities performed by licensed nurses and other personnel
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year RN experience required
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
• May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
• Must use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
