CVOR RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiothoracic Operating Room (CVOR) at Banner Desert Medical Center, located at 1400 S Dobson Rd in Mesa, Arizona. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026, with a schedule of five 8-hour day shifts per week. You will earn $3,504 weekly.

Your responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures. You will assist physicians with advanced surgical tasks and equipment, including cardiopulmonary bypass management, trans-esophageal echocardiography, cardiac output assistance devices, and vascular access techniques. You will perform and interpret cardiac and vascular laboratory tests, review patient histories and diagnostics, and report abnormal findings to physicians and the care team.

You will formulate individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed staff, and document all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluations accurately and timely in patient records. You will participate in unit and facility shared leadership activities and support education and orientation of facility personnel.

Requirements:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year RN experience required
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months required
• One year operating room and/or cardiovascular or vascular experience preferred
• BLS certification required
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching frequently; may lift up to 75 pounds
• Must follow standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids

You will work a varied schedule including rotating weekends, holidays, on-call, and float assignments per department guidelines.
