Med Surg RN Job in Lakewood, CO

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg position. This is a night shift role with 12-hour shifts and flexible scheduling options.

Position Details

• 3x12 night shift schedule
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• Minimum 6–9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday shifts required
• Call or standby requirements determined by Nurse Manager
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks)

Clinical Expectations

• Float requirements determined by Nurse Manager and department needs; may float to any acuity level including ICU (low acuity holds), PCU/Stepdown, and MS-Tele within Zone 3 locations during extreme need
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4–5 on days and 1:5–6 on nights
• Nurse Aide ratio of 1:12
• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, spine, neuro trauma, and general med-surg patients
• Acute care nursing experience required
• Competency in reading telemetry strips (Phillips Telemetry system monitored centrally off unit)
• Common drips include analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure management
• Moderate oxygen therapy needs including CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• BSN not required
• Within 60 miles of facility
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be in state for orientation week

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,079. Assignment duration: 91 days. Start date: October 26, 2026.
