About this role

IU Health Bloomington Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10 day shifts at $2,926 weekly, starting September 1, 2026.

Role Overview

You will perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in a 3-room unit serving inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients. You will see approximately 13–15 patients daily, managing a patient ratio of 3 per shift. Your work will involve patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging studies
  • Conduct cardiac imaging, bone scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial perfusion studies
  • Perform IV starts and operate PACS systems
  • Float within the hospital and to affiliate facilities as needed
  • Complete 32 hours of orientation
  • Participate in on-call schedules on weeknights and weekends

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of nuclear medicine experience
  • Community hospital experience required
  • Current BLS certification
  • ARRT N or NMTCB certification
  • CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) certification
  • Demonstrated competency with IV starts and PACS

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with brain scans, renal flow studies, and SPECT imaging
  • Familiarity with Cerner documentation systems
  • Experience with Siemens equipment

Hours may vary depending on workload. Block scheduling provides predictable time off. This is a hands-on clinical role in a community hospital setting where you will expand your procedural experience while working with established teams and modern equipment.
