RN - Acute Care

Job Details:

• Work four 9-hour shifts per week (36 hours per week) with an additional call rotation requirement
• Shift start times vary between 6:30 AM (Pre-Op Endo), 7:00 AM (Circulator/Tech Endo), or 7:30 AM (Post-Op Endo) dependent upon assigned role for the day
• No weekends or holidays required except during call rotation
• Call rotation includes 6-8 days of call per month, which must include 1 Friday, 1 Saturday, and 1 Sunday
• Call rotation also includes two full weekends of call and one weekday per week
• 1-hour response time required for call shifts
• Provide specialized endoscopy nursing care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
• Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient progress in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications and apply clinical interventions with occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens reasonably anticipated
• Provide patient and family education to support self-care beyond hospitalization including lifestyle changes to support health and healing
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support within a healing environment
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an Endoscopy environment as a Registered Nurse required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• New York State RN Licensure required
