ED Registered Nurse Job in Cookeville, TN

Cookeville Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting September 21, 2026, offering three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,188 weekly.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, supporting patients across all age groups—from neonates and infants to adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. During night shifts and weekends, you will manage a 4:1 patient ratio. You may be asked to precept other staff members as needed.

Requirements

• Current Tennessee or compact nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience (travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification required
• ENPC and TNCC certifications preferred
• Must be located outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
• References may be pending at submission

Assignment Details

• Shift: 3x12 nights
• Every other weekend coverage required based on unit needs
• No on-call requirement
• 36-hour orientation
• One pre-approved time-off request allowed
• Travel pairs permitted

Facility Support

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, phlebotomy, social services, interpretation services, transportation, and unit secretary assistance. Charting is performed in the Paragon system.
