Med Surg RN Job in Sioux City, IA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Med Surg unit at UnityPoint - St. Luke's Regional Medical Center in Sioux City, IA. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of October 26, 2026.

Schedule & Pay

• 3x12 days (days shift)
• Every third weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• $2,313 weekly
• 16 guaranteed hours during non-billable orientation
• Billable overtime applies between 36–40 hours per week depending on agreement terms

Your Role

You'll provide care to orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical patients. Your responsibilities include administering drips (Heparin, PCA, epidural), and chemotherapy administration if certified. You may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses. You are required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

Requirements

• Active Iowa state nursing license
• 2+ years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience
• High-acuity care experience preferred
• ACLS, BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted), and NIHSS certifications
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg discipline
• 1 Supervisory Reference Form completed within the last two years
• Valid driver's license
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license
• Prior travel experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
