PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
• Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Float pool position with no home unit - RN will float to all Pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
• South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
• Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
• ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
• Block schedule available upon manager approval dependent on unit needs
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Required skills include: anti-seizure medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, acute airway care and maintenance, central line/implanted line care, continuous sedation, ICP monitoring, infection control/PPE, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, chest tube management, pediatric dosage calculations, and PICC line management
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
