ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 4x12 night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM with a 30-minute lunch break
• Weekend coverage required
• 8-week travel assignment
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• 3 years of experience preferred
• Prior travel assignment experience required; first-time travelers with 2 solid years of ED experience may be considered
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Active Massachusetts RN license required at time of submission (emergency license and pending licenses not accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS
• CPI training will be provided on site
• Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced full-spectrum Emergency Department serving patients of all ages from birth through end of life
• Patient population is predominantly adult with occasional pediatric patients
• Department includes a locked behavioral health unit with a 12-bed capacity
• Department has 40 rooms and sees approximately 120 patient visits per day
• Required skills include care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, general emergency department combined adult/pediatric care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, and triage
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
