Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Adult

Job Details:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient using the nursing process
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care
• Administer medications and perform treatments in a safe and accurate manner
• Implement physician orders as written and notify physician of pertinent observations and changes in patient status
• Provide education for patients and family members from admission through discharge
• Document the nursing process thoroughly, concisely, accurately, and legibly
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks
• Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants in a professional manner
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions to appropriate department
• Must be able to manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions using critical thinking skills
• Position requires heavy work: exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, 25 to 50 pounds frequently, and 10 to 20 pounds constantly
• Valid Ohio nursing license required
• CPR certification required
• Previous registered nursing experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills required
