Interventional Radiology RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse with interventional radiology experience for its IR department in Rochester, NY. This is a 103-week travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Position Details

• Schedule: 4 shifts of 10 hours per week (40 hours total)
• Shift times: Day and evening rotations
• Weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts required as needed by unit operations
• Weekly pay: $2,208

Your Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to adult inpatients and outpatients undergoing interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, and drain placements
• Prepare patients for image-guided procedures and monitor vital signs during treatment
• Manage post-procedure recovery in PACU and extended 23-hour observation settings
• Serve as part of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other clinical staff to deliver patient-centered care
• Apply critical thinking and strong communication in a fast-paced procedural environment

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license
• Minimum 1 year of recent interventional radiology experience
• Telemetry experience required
• BLS certification (AHA only)
• ACLS certification (AHA only)

Work Environment

You will work in a procedural setting requiring hospital-issued and laundered scrub pants and tops, along with standard infection prevention measures. The role demands the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting with quick decision-making and adaptability.
